Great Strides – Where Brighter Futures Begin!

ABA Therapy for Autism

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) focuses on the principles that explain how and why behaviors take place. ABA therapy can be beneficial and offer continued support and skill development that will enable children to gain necessary skills to increase independence in home, school, and community settings.

Parent/Caregiver Training

At GSBC we believe that the level of parent involvement is key to a child’s success therefore we put a strong emphasis on parent training.  Our BCBAs conduct weekly or biweekly training with each child’s parent/caregiver(s) based on program intensity.

Coordination of Care

Children learn from their environment and models within.  When children begin to build skills within therapy and start attending pre-school, community settings, or other therapies, we coordinate with the service provider or teacher to ensure skills learned in therapy are generalized.

No wait lists!

Have you recently gotten a diagnosis only to find that when you start calling providers there are crazy long wait lists?

Being told your child has to wait several months to gain access to services that you want to begin as soon as possible and that research indicates that sooner you start the greater the possibility your child will have to “catch up” with their peers is more than FRUSTRATING.

WE HEAR YOU AND WE AGREE!  At Great Strides, we have a NO WAIT LIST policy! When you inquire about services with us, a member of our team will provide a FREE consultation with you to learn more about your needs and the needs of your child with the goal of getting the appropriate level of services started as soon as possible.

Did you know:  That learning self-regulation skills early in life predicts

  • Better performance in school

  • Better relationships with others

  • Fewer behavioral difficulties

  • Helps promote resilience and problem-solving in challenging situations

Our program focuses on teaching children to flex their self-regulation muscles from the onset of therapy.  The results are amazing!

“My clients are like family; my staff and I give each of them the time and attention and care that I expect for my own children. When we can work with teachers and parents and caregivers to create a support team that is fully engaged in therapy, together we can raise the bar.”

– Amy Leuthauser (Owner/Executive Director)

Did you know:  Studies show that early diagnosis and intervention lead to significantly improved outcomes.  If autism is caught in infancy, treatment can take full advantage of the young brain’s remarkable plasticity.

Although autism is can be difficult to diagnose before 24 months, symptoms often surface between 12 and 18 months.  The earlier these signs are detected, the more intensive treatment may help to rewire the brain and reverse the symptoms.
